100 Days of Impact With City Limits News

A discussion on the challenges facing the press under the Trump presidency from the perspective of journalists who hail from countries with media repression and authoritarianism. The panel will include NYC-based ethnic press journalists who will discuss how to report in such an environment, the role of NYC's ethnic press community in these times, and ideas for reporters in covering Trump.
Speakers include North America Advocacy & Communications Director Margaux Ewen of Reporters Without Borders, Deputy Executive Director Robert Mahoney of the Committee to Protect Journalists and Cuban journalist Lidia Hernandez.

Join Impact Hub NYC from noon-1pm every weekday between Jan 23rd and May 1st for free workshops in direct response to Trump's first 100 days plan. "100 Days of Impact" is daily workshops run by the best organizations in NYC doing work on issues impacted by the policies of the new administration. The purpose is for attendees to learn about an issue that will be impacted, what is currently being done to fight back, and how individuals can take action and help make a difference.
